Weather Station is located across Fitzpatrick Hill Road from our
house in an open field, about seven feet up a permanent wooden
pole. We chose this for good exposure to the wind, open
sunshine and no rain shadows. We also maintain a
weather cam along
with our current conditions page. It is updated every 15
minutes and looks straight east from our house.
The weather stations measures wind velocity and
direction, rain, barometric pressure, temperature and dew point.
The unit is a
Davis Pro Vantage
wirelessly linked to a receiver consol in the house. We
analyze data with
Davis Weatherlink 5.7,
We transmit to the
Weather Underground every five minutes. We also upload to
a current conditions local page every 15 minutes with historical
data.
The Weather Undergound is the best weather site on the web,
with layers and layers of information and blogs. You can
check our local conditions and forecasts
here. You can check your local conditions as well by
entering your zip code or city. Check the bottom of the
site for personal weather stations in your area.
